This study aims to analyze the impact of Islamic financial literacy on the economic independence of widows (single parents) through the philosophical framework of Maqashid Sharia. Widows often face double economic vulnerability due to the loss of the family's primary pillar. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research explores how an understanding of Islamic financial principles influences the wealth management behavior of female heads of households. The results indicate that high Islamic financial literacy significantly contributes to economic independence through better debt management, structured financial planning, and the utilization of Islamic philanthropic instruments. In the perspective of Maqashid Sharia, this literacy serves as an instrument for wealth protection (hifz al-mal), which carries implications for the protection of life, lineage, and religion. The independence achieved is not merely financial capability but household resilience in accordance with sharia principles. This study concludes that strengthening Islamic financial literacy is a crucial strategy to break the cycle of poverty among widows.
