This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Arabic Language Education (PBA) students at IAI Syaichona Mohammad Cholil regarding the linguistic authority of Syeikh Nasreldin Mohamed (an Al-Azhar native speaker) and its impact on their learning motivation. Using a qualitative approach with Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) , data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results show that the instructor's linguistic authority is constructed through the institutional legitimacy of Al-Azhar and native-ness performance. The presence of this native speaker exerts a paradoxical impact on students' psychology. On one hand, it enhances intrinsic motivation and integrative orientation, fostering enthusiasm, pride, and aspirations to study in the Middle East. The instructor's authority also creates positive pressure that drives extrinsic motivation for independent study. On the other hand, the high level of fluency triggers language anxiety and a sense of intimidation among some students. Furthermore, the "Full Arabic" method poses pedagogical barriers to understanding complex theoretical material. This study concludes that the effectiveness of this teaching model relies on the balance between maintaining authority and adapting to local linguistic limitations.
